Elisabeth “Lisa” C. Galarza, LCSW-S

Elisabeth C. Galarza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor. She holds a Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX.

From domestic and to family violence – Elisabeth focuses primarily on trauma cases. She also has professional experience working with transitioning homeless families and survivors of domestic violence. Elisabeth is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with treatment generally focused on crisis intervention. While using a person-centered approach, she collaboratively works with the client on establishing goals, with a focus on individual strengths and their support system. Her goal is to assist in one’s transition from their current situation to where they would like to be and help find and maintain healthy skills. Elisabeth practices various treatment methods to focus on each client’s individualism and to encourage self-reflection and success in attaining individualized goals. In addition to individualized care, Elisabeth has facilitated psycho-educational group sessions discussing domestic violence.

Elisabeth has experience teaching undergraduate online courses at Our Lady of the Lake University. She is a field instructor to potential social workers and teaches, guides, and mentors social work students from various universities and is a Texas-approved supervisor for those individuals looking to move from their LMSW licensing to LCSW.
