Gisselle Salas, MSW
CLINICIAN at HHM HEALTH CLINIC
Gisselle Salas is a bilingual behavioral health professional fluent in English and Spanish. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington. Gisselle began her journey with Cannenta as a student therapist intern with the Cannenta Foundation, where she provided in-person and virtual mental health services through Project Ayuda to individuals who may otherwise have faced barriers to accessing care.
Gisselle currently serves at one of Cannenta’s partner Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), where she provides individual therapy to adults and adolescents, as well as integrated Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) visits. She conducts behavioral health assessments and offers brief, goal-oriented interventions for concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and substance use. Her experience also includes crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, case management, and connecting clients with community resources.
Gisselle is passionate about providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care. Her bilingual abilities allow her to build meaningful connections with Spanish-speaking clients and help ensure they feel understood, respected, and supported throughout their mental health journey.
